As I took the weekend to reflect on our annual Connections365 conference, I was amazed to think about everything that we packed into 4 days. It was an incredible time to show off our hometown of Beloit, Wisconsin, and walk people through a personal tour of a day-in-the-life at Comply365. Our team was so proud to show our clients and guests what they do every day and how much they honestly care about our clients. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my truly amazing clients, so this was my opportunity to show my appreciation for them believing in me.
I can’t say, however, that the week before I wasn’t nervous – we were pulling off some of the craziest logistics at our conference that we have ever done. On top of that, we had 4 different venues and 3 different hotels. I told my team, “If we can’t do this with excellence, how can they trust us to run a project or a complicated implementation of software?” Excellence in everything we do!
I also had to talk to God. The week before, we had some pretty cold and wet weather. I said, “God, I can handle the other stuff, but I am relying on you to pull off some pretty amazing weather (since 2 events were outdoors).” I think God wanted to help us show off as well because we had the most beautiful days and some of the most amazing fall colors as our backdrop.
The months of work that our team put into the 2 opening presentations about “Navigating the Digital Workplace” really paid off. I heard from many people that the opening presentations were inspiring and helped people think about their future.
If you weren’t here, it is hard to put into words what happened, but it was magical. We had our 5th annual Tech Conference, and we had the largest audience to date with roughly 300 people in the opening session. We talked about the #DigitalWorkplace and the speed at which everything is changing around us, yet at the same time we strengthened friendships and built trust.
“Speed happens when people … truly trust each other.” –Edward Marshall
At the rate technology is changing, you must truly trust your business partner. If you do, you will outpace everyone. That is what happened in Beloit, Wisconsin this past week. At Comply365, we love to say that’s another reason “Midwest Tech is Best.”
